On 9/18/08 Haynes decided to retract their offer of allowing us to use their location for this years Jeep show - So we are currently looking for another site. The show is still scheduled to go on as planned including the swap meet. Anyone who has or is going to register electronically will be notified by email of the new location, it will also be posted to this page once we know.
Thanks - MAJ:rolleyes_

Why did they retract their offer?

Also, I plan to be at the redskins/eagles game in Philly that day, so I won't be around to check out the show.

I'm sure you'll have fun without me, though!

Why did they retract their offer?

I have heard thru the grapevine that "Haynes Chrysler / Jeep" may cease to be "Haynes Chrysler / Jeep" sometime in the next few days or weeks.

Apparently the family that owns it is over extended and a note on some undeveloped property they own is being called in by the financers.

I doubt that a buisness that large would simply close up, but the owners of a much larger group of dealerships may buy them out.

At least that is what I have heard...

Haynes has been in business for a long time, i would seriously doubt that they are in financial trouble. Mr. Haynes has his hand in quite a few other things besides the dealership.

i've also heard they may be having issues, and I did not hear it here.

One of my coworkers has a family member that works there, he said they were just told that Whitten would be buying them out.

I heard the same thing. Whitten wants to expand and it makes sense they'd pick up their main competitor like that.
