I know that somebody just did a spring over conversion and I was wanting some direction. Can somebody point me to the forum or let me know who it was.

I have a new 88' Grand wagon that I want to do a spring over to get a little more lift.

Look over on ifsja.org
Tad makes some nice SOA perches for the front axle and a shackle flip for the rear. You will also need longer breaklines and work out the steering. On the waggie 44...you can do a crossover steering with adraglink from the flat top knuckle and high steer arm on the passenger side to the pitman arm....and keep the tie rod in the stock location.

As far as SOA...a waggie is pretty easy...you just have to grind the casting on the pumpkin a little for the perch to sit level.

Alright the more I read about spring over it looks like it would be better to do new springs with reverse u-bolts. Does anybody have any feed back on this?

You mean a typical SUA lift spring and new u boltys with a u bolt flip to keep them off the rocks? Look at BJ's offroad...they sell a 2,4,6" lift that are all bolt on SUA lifts. No steering or driveshaft mods are needed.
SUA lifts just ride a little rougher than a SOA lift...but then again...who bus a waggie for how they ride anyway :)

SUA will also keep the axle wrap under control better. Makes for better transfer of power from what I understand.

Thanks guys. I have also looked at Hell Creek Suspensions. Does anybody know anything about them?
