I have a 88 Grand wagon with a 360. I am not sure of the tranny but it is the stock. I think the 400. Anyway it has a leak and i washed under it the other day and have had it sitting on jack stands for two days. I can not see anything leaking. I guess my next step need to be driving it or just taling the front of of the jack stands. If anybody has any suggestions, I would love to hears them.

The 1980-1991 Waggies had the TF727 in them. A VERY strong transmission.
Have you had it running while on jack stands?
Put it in gear (with the wheels up) and see where it's leaking from. If coming from the bellhousing, then it's likely the front seal, which is located behind the torque convertor (meaning the tranny has to be removed to get to it).

I have had it running while on the stands. I even put is in gear with the break on. I will lift the read and let them turn and see what happens. Thanks!
How big of a deal is it to replace that seal?

Have a look at the fluid lines going in as well. heck...it could even be the tranny pan seal leaking from it being old or swollen.
To replace the front pump seal like jogn is talking about...the tranny needs to be removed....so not a quick job....unless you have help...it'll take all day.
