quick fender trim

Broke out the sawzall and angle grinder this morning and clearanced the rears on the front fenders to be able to at least turn the 35’s. This will do for now, but I really need longer lowers (might even go longarms) to push the axle about ¾” forward.

If you're going to wheel it with 35's, you're going to need to trim it like this. Just do it!:agree:

I see that happening in the not-too-distant future. This was just so I could actually drive the thing for now. I need to come take a closer look at yours and see where you cut, me likey.

BTW, I dropped that spare alloy off at Jerry's house today. I figure your a lot closer to him than to me, you can pick it up when you're around.

We used the outline of where the fender flair was as a guide except in the back. We cut all the way to the second fender bolt there. There is a pinch seam in the back of the fender well under the plastic that needs to be pounded over. I haven't done it on my red one but did it to the blue one the other day and it turned out nice. That pinch seam has cut my tires some on the red jeep.

Unlike PA., there is no fender law in VA. that ought to bring out the lurks for something to bitch about.

no fenders is not a big deal. the law is 4" from a side marker light...so do like a mack truck and make a little marker light that is removeable.
It's really on the state patrol that is particular about it.
