I've come into possession of an aluminum diamond-plate truck toolbox, but the box part is about 4" too wide to fit between the bedrails on the MJ (it's for a fullsize p/u, Dodge/Ford). Any metalworking wizards out there that can help me cut/shorten/weld it to fit? I've got a couple of ideas on how to do it, but they might not be completely logical....

Jeff

edit: I really couldn't beat the price on it.....I pulled it out of the construction dumpster up at the new house last night. Apparently, someone didn't want it anymore.

it's an aluminum truck toolbox that fits between the bedrails. It's about 4" too wide to fit the bed of my MJ.....need to shorten the center section by about 2" on each side.
